Institutional Framework
On 05/25/2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, known as GDPR/GDPR, came into force, establishing a single legal framework for the protection of personal data in all member states of the European Union. Now, as of 29/08/2019, law 4624/2019 is in force, which defines measures for the implementation of the GDPR and incorporates into national legislation Directive (EU) 2016/680 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016.
